My D-Link USB Wireless G device (DWA-110) will not install. I have tried the Microsoft driver (comes with Windows presumably, this tries to install when I plug the device in), the Ralink driver (this is downloaded automatically by Windows when I ask it to search for drivers automatically), and the D-Link driver (downloaded by me, the latest from D-Link). Getting Windows 7 to install any of these results in a time out after around 3-5 minutes of 'installing drivers'. I have tried running the setup program that comes with D-Link's drivers, which I would like to avoid since I don't need their extra software and am happy with Windows' Wireless configuration, but this also takes a long time to install, before not working properly. If I pull the USB dongle out before driver installation times out, it completes. However, the device is disabled after plugging it back in, and re-enabling it either fails (as in, it says 'enabling', then message disappears, but it's still disabled), or it just takes forever to enable. I'm not sure what else to try. Free Download D-Link DWA-566 Wireless PCIe Adapter Driver 9.2.0.4701 for Windows 7 x64 (Network Card). The Windows 7 Compatibility page says it should be compatible, and I have searched the internet and indeed some have used it with the release candidate, and if Windows comes with a driver (even if a plain kind of one) it surely must work for many. I have an Intel P55 chipset motherboard which includes a Realtek gigabit LAN port, if that helps, but I can't see why that would be a problem. Device works in my laptop with Windows XP 32-bit with the D-Link driver, both installed by its setup and just pointing Windows XP to the folder with the driver. Successfully connects to my home wireless and downloads files. So the product itself isn't faulty unless there are faults that Windows 7 is sensitive to and XP is not. I'm stuck with this long blue cable across the floor until I fix this problem, and I'm hoping someone here can help! Ps I had clicked on uninstall device and remove drivers, and it's still trying, 20 minutes later, to remove the device.
